5566fxyy-Thank you so much for the comment. I think that a bend in the river would be really cool. As long as it was gradual enough the boats would be able to make it through... it could be another parameter that the students have to work with.As for the erosion and deposition lab... that is a fantastic idea! I teach geological/meteorological forces to my sixth grade students and could easily incorporat...

亚洲 欧美 中文 日韩-Thank you! Please post any pics of what you build, I would love to see it.
5566fxyy-Thanks! If you do end up building one please share the results, I would love to see all the different ideas out there. I have an old kid carrier / trailer that I am going to try converting this fall... not much cool factor there either, but useful!

a无限资源无限看播放器-Thanks for the reply and for the encouragement to build one. As long as you are working with the grain, drawknives are a pleasure to use, and with a razor-sharp blade you can get into some pretty gnarly wood and still come out with a decent slice. I think I will try my hand at this during the summer. If I do I will be sure to post it.

I plan on going back through it and reading the pieces more thoroughly to see if it's a project I want to dive into this summer. View »亚洲 欧美 中文 日韩-Thank you! I like the idea of using a rabbet to retain the plywood and did think of that but originally decided against it so that The plywood underside could take the brunt of the abuse instead of the pine when my wife slides these into and out of the truck (we have a truck liner and it kind of acts like sandpaper). I bet with the rabbet you could hold an insane amount of weight in them and th...

亚洲 欧美 中文 日韩-Thank you! I love that idea of positioning the support slats to go lower to act as short legs that interlock into the next crate. I was also thinking you could set up a similar system so that you could stack the crates in multiple orientations and they would lock together to form a solid display unit. They definitely have some mass to them and when loaded down they will have a lot of inertia, s...

超大揭示板-Thanks for the comment. Yeah, that's been on the ole' to do list but the lights I am currently using are also used on my road bike when I take that to work or do a late afternoon ride. Typically I just swap the lights from one bike the other since they are quick release. I have plans to build a front light and rear light that runs off the bike's battery... maybe this winter? Thanks again.
